“Dastgahe Radif” (Row Order divisions). The thirteenth Islamic century saw the advent of “Row Order” music in Iran, which presently consists of seven “Dastgah” (musical divisions) and five “Avaz” (singings, vocalities).
According to expert opinions, the best radif versions were performed by past renowned masters such as Mirza Abdollah, Agha Hosseinali, and Abdollah Davami. Today, in terms of teaching potentials, performance, and preservation of traditional Iranian music, these ways are unparalleld.
B) Performing Persian row order music:
Performing this music is propelled by a desire for variation as well as a motivation to safeguard the preserration and continuance of Iranian traditional music
